Nashville Eats: Hot Chicken, Buttermilk Biscuits, and 100 More Southern Recipes from Music City by Jennifer Justus is a FUN cookbook chockful of great recipes! Plus the author shares wonderful stories of Nashville, the people, music, history, along with the food! All of this in a cookbook with recipes that sound so good it'll make you slap your mama (VERY good).
I can't wait to try the Beaten Biscuits, Redeye Gravy (for hubby), Country Ham Salad,The Nashville Burger, Venison Chili, Grant's Nashville Pan-Fried Catfish, Tomato Pie, and the Strawberry Jam recipes! There are so many YUMMY sounding recipes included in this book it is hard to decide what to try first.
I enjoyed the pictures and trivia she has included as well, it is NOT just a cookbook, but so much more. A must have for all who love cooking, Nashville, or country music. As for me, I'm fixin' to go try out one of these fabulous recipes!

The Authentic Amish Cookbook by Norman and Marlena Miller - my review
I can't wait to try some of these YUMMY recipes in the The Authentic Amish Cookbook by Norman and Marlena Miller. It is full of family favorites of the Amish in Evart, Michigan.
With recipes for Caramel Pie, Pear Pie, Pineapple Pie, Shoo-Fly Pie, and Apple Cake, along with so many more wonderful sounding desserts to fill your sweet tooth. A Cheese Soup that sounds so goo-ood for these cold days! Recipes to make your own bologna even (my husband's favorite). There are recipes for canning and freezing, a section for cooking for crowds, one for weight watchers. Collections of lots of helpful tips which will come in handy.
With popular hymns, scripture, and inspirational thoughts throughout this book it has everything you need to bless you and your family as you fix your meals or plan a get-together. The recipes for friendship and life, along with the garden for a mother were actually some of my favorites.
I have so many of these recipes highlighted to go back and try out, just don't know which I want to try first, they all sound so good!
I received an ARC (advanced readers copy) from Harvest House Publishers and NetGallery in exchange for my honest review rather it be good or bad. Thank you.

Faith, Hope, Love, and a Whisk by Tori Winkelman - my review
Faith, Hope, Love, and a Whisk: Breakfast With The Savior by Tori Winkelman is going to quickly become one of my favorite cookbooks! I have never saw a cookbook like this one, it is both a devotional and cookbook together in one book. As I have read through the devotionals and looked at the yummy looking recipes I'm not sure what I want to try first. As a lover of bread pudding and blueberries I have to try the Lemon Blueberry Bread Pudding, the Peanut Butter French Toast Sandwiches also sound like a sure win for us. There are so many recipes that the author has included that I find myself wanting to try, and a devotional to go along with each recipe. So we can read a devotional, as we are cooking and waiting, and spend time in prayer with the Lord. You will truly have breakfast with the Savior with this devotional cookbook!
I recommend this book to anyone who loves the Lord and and cooking, this is the book for you, or a great gift for anyone you know like that.
