I just finished reading Seashells, Gator Bones, and the Church of Everlasting Liability by Susan Adger and let me tell you it is a book I will read again! Seashells takes you back to another place and time in the south through scraps of papers and other's memories. A preacher with a questionable past, sewing circles, gator farming, raising strawberries & oranges, a beauty parlor in the kitchen, friends & enemies, and more. I laughed and cried as I read the stories of these characters. I was disappointed when I reached the end of the book because I wanted more, I hope to see a sequel to this book by Susan.

Take a peek into my life...My likes, loves, and dislikes. Books are one of my favorites, this is where you will see what I think of what I have read, be it good or bad. Among other things that I may want to discuss.

My review of Hitter by Daryn R Guarino
I finished reading Hitter by Daryn R Guarino. This is a well written book. Although fiction it is written as a biography of a hitman. Very gruesome, with torture, beating people up, and murdering people for money. Very detailed, not the type of book for everyone, took me a while to read it because it is so graphic and puts you inside the head of a hitman. It follows him from his childhood to tell how he ended up with this lifestyle. At points though out the book I despised the man at other times I found myself feeling sorry for him. This is not a book I will easily forget.

Road Salt by Linda Nelson - Review
I just finished reading the book Road Salt by Linda Nelson, I would recommend this book to ALL young readers. I learned a lot about a subject I have only heard about so far which is people using Bath Salts to get high. Linda makes the reader feel that they are with these four teenagers as they are experiencing this road trip and all the things that happen along the way.
This is a great book which will make the reader think. How well do you know your friends? Do you or your friends think you need to get high to have fun?
I hope that this book reaches all young and old alike that thing getting high on bath salt (or anything) is the answer. I hope it reaches all that are thinking about giving it or any drug a try. Drugs are such an epidemic in today's world with so many young and old alike loosing their lives needlessly.

Jesus, The Ultimate Therapist
I just finished reading Jesus, The Ultimate Therapist: Healing Without Limits (Living Life 2 the Fullest) by Kerry Kerr McAvoy. This book looks at the roles Jesus plays in our life, from the being the Ultimate Therapist, our Messiah, Our Kinsman-Redeemer, Our Friend, The Returning King, etc. It is a six week study with Bible verses that you can read for yourself plus song suggestions as well. There are also prayers for you to say. This is a book I will be re-reading.

My Will Vs. God's Will
How to Find God's Will: ...in 3 simple steps by Josh Wood was a quick read. From which I came away with the feeling of spending time talking with a friend after reading it. It is is written in plain and simple language simple enough for anyone to understand. I enjoyed the humor he used to get the point across - "My Will vs. God's Will" . I will read this one again! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their life.

Short and Shorter Stories
The Ice Cream Vendor's Song by Laura McHale Holland is a book of short and shorter stories. Some I liked more than others, but all of them will make you think. I enjoyed reading each and every and one. A good book for an afternoon or evening read.
