Now That It's You by Tawna Fenske starts with Meg going to the hospital to forgive her cheating ex-finance who she hasn't saw in 2 years, they were together for 10 years before she left him standing at the alter. Once arriving at the hospital she runs into Kyle who surprises her with an unwanted and unexpected outcome.

Meg and Kyle's paths keep crossing. With Matt out of the picture their relationship grows. Until Meg's cookbook takes off in sales and Matt's family wants a share of the profits.

I was hooked from page one in this book and couldn't put it down until finished. Although there is some language in it that might offend some, I enjoyed the book.

A Girl's Guide To Moving On by Debbie Macomber - my review

A Girl's Guide to Moving On by Debbie Macomber is not your usual Mother-in-law/daughter-in-law story. I enjoyed reading Nichole and Leanne's stories as they move on from their cheating husbands (father and son) to start new lives. I had met Nichole when reading Last One Home, but A Girl's Guide To Moving On, is a great stand-alone book as well.

I enjoyed the story of how Nichole and Leanne deal with their exes, Jake and Sean, and their cheating ways. Also both still trying to control their lives even after divorce.  The new men, Rocco and Nicolai, that come into their lives, showing them how women should be treated.

I am a HUGE Debbie Macomber fan, and this one didn't disappoint me in the least. I highly recommend it to all Macomber fans or anyone wanting to read one of her books for the 1st time.

The Photograph by Beverly Lewis is an awesome read full of twists and turns.

Three young sisters, whose parents are recently deceased, must make decisions about their futures. Their four older brothers are all married with families of their own.  The youngest, Menno, has inherited the family farm, and lets the three sisters know he plans to move his family into the home. There isn't enough room for everyone so they will have to make plans for their futures.

Frona the oldest sister, is a worrier, always trying to look out for for her younger sisters. A position that an oldest often takes (speaking from experience).

The youngest sister Lily, decides to leave and become fancy. Which shakes everyone in her family as well as the community up, as they try to find her.

And the middle sister, Eva Esch, who dreams of being in love with whoever her future husband might be.  Eva has a candy store that her father built for her, scared it will no longer be in her future as her brother takes over the family farm.

Jed Stutzman, a buggy maker from Ohio, who shows up in Eden Valley, finds a photo of a beautiful young Amish woman stuck in a book, along with personal notes. Eva feels drawn to this handsome young stranger.

An enjoyable read as you visit Eden Valley, meet the Esch sisters and follow along with the troubles of their lives.  I enjoyed this book as much I do all of Beverly Lewis's books. Look for it on September 8, 2015

All The Single Ladies by Dorothea Benton Frank is a fun and fast read for summer (or anytime).

Three middle-aged ladies trying to start life over.  Told from the viewpoint of Lisa, who is a geriatric nurse. When one of her favorite patients, Kathy, dies of cancer, she ends up becoming friends with Kathy's best friends, Carrie and Suzanne. Throw in an elderly grandmother, Miss Trudie, who everyone loves and would love to have as their own grandmother. Lisa, Carrie, and Suzanne, try to find out the secrets of Kathy's past and prove that her landlord is trying to steal from her at the same time. All while they are each dating new men in their lives.

I enjoyed this witty book, and highly recommend it, especially to middle-aged women such as myself. I received a FREE copy from LibraryThing in exchange for my honest review.

Last One Home by Debbie Macomber - my review

Last One Home by Debbie Macomber is an awesome stand-alone novel. As everyone knows, I am a huge Debbie Macomber fan, and she didn't disappoint me with this one. Starting with the gazebo on the cover that made me want it in my yard.

Cassie ran away from home at the age of 18 to marry Duke. A man who quickly becomes abusive, cutting Cassie off from her family. Including her two sisters, Karen and Nicole, who were once all three incredibly close.

Cassie eventually ends her difficult marriage and moves to Seattle with her daughter, Amiee. Both sisters Karen and Nicole have their own problems as well. After receiving a letter from Karen, it leads to a possible reunion of the sisters. Things start looking up for Cassie and Amiee.

A story of forgiveness, compassion and new starts.

I found myself laughing all the way through Accept This Dandelion by Brooke Williams. Renee Lockhart, longing for a better position on the radio allows her friend to sign her up for the local TV version of "The Bachelor". From setting herself on fire, dancing a jig, wearing cut-offs to a pool party, even slapping a monkey, she has so many funny antics she would be hard to forget. And the "playboy" bachelor himself Ben McConnell who proves to be a much deeper and caring person than everyone first thought of him. Another finalist finds who finds out some "dirt" on Renee and passes it on to Ben in the hopes of helping her own chances of being the winner of his love. Who will he choose to give the dandelion and his heart too?

Starry Night by Debbie Macomber is an awesome book that will leave you wanting to see an Alaskan star-filled sky with the love of your life. I am a big fan of Debbie Macomber novels and nothing beats a great Christmas story.

Carrie is bored writing the same stories about the same social events and wants the chance to write something different. She jumps at the chance to find the author of the book Alone, Finn Dalton. The catch is, that no-one has been able to find him or get an interview with him.
Carrie takes on the challenge and finds herself in Alaska, meeting a dog by the name of Hennessy, as well as the elusive Finn. Two people as different as night and day, a fun-filled story is sure to follow.

A heart-warming Christmas story to get you into the mood. The perfect Christmas book to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy.

Family Inheritance by Terri Ann Leidich - my review

Family Inheritance by Terri Ann Leidich is a heartbreaking story of three sisters struggling through their adult life as a result of the childhood abuse they suffered.  Their Mother is dying,  they all return home and are reunited. With the help of each other they decide they deserve so much better and set about to make changes in their lives. This is an emotional book which I had to stop several times to wipe the tears before I could read more. I enjoyed reading this and found it to be a real page-turner, I look forward to more by this author.

My favorite quote from the book is...
Maybe her childhood and her past were like any other family inheritance. It all depended on what she did with it.

I just finished reading Seashells, Gator Bones, and the Church of Everlasting Liability by Susan Adger and let me tell you it is a book I will read again! Seashells takes you back to another place and time in the south through scraps of papers and other's memories.  A preacher with a questionable past, sewing circles, gator farming, raising strawberries & oranges, a beauty parlor in the kitchen, friends & enemies, and more. I laughed and cried as I read the stories of these characters. I was disappointed when I reached the end of the book because I wanted more, I hope to see a sequel to this book by Susan.
