A fun book with recipes

I just finished reading Letters from Wishing Rock: A Novel With Recipes  by Pam Stucky, and loved it! So much fun, made me want to move to Wishing Rock.  Delightful characters, Ruby, Erin Pip, Ed, Jake, Pip, Millie, and one of my favorites Gran to name a few will keep you entertained through the emails and texts to each other. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the shenanigans. The recipes are just icing on the cake. I look forward to more from the Wishing Rock Gang.

Back in time with....

I have just finished reading Living Half Free by Haley Whitehall. I was taken back in time to the the dreadful days of slavery. I felt mixed emotions reading this book. I felt anger, terror, and dread, as I read of the sadistic abuse. I cried, and rejoiced, along with Zachariah as he struggles along. Was extremely happy for him when he found love with the Cherokee woman, Lillian. Haley Whitehall has done an excellent job of bringing this story to life.

Another Good Read - Illuminate-Alive, She Cried by Jamie Haden

was a very good paranormal read. The  granddaughter of a Shaman, Talisha Santiago goes to live with a clan of the Cherokees in the Smokey Mountains. So many secrets for her to uncover. Interesting characters, Native American beliefs, customs, shapeshifters, and danger lurked in the mountains.
This was a real page turner, I couldn't put it down until I finished it.
I enjoyed "Illuminate-Alive, She Cried" and would recommend it to anyone who likes a paranormal story or wants to read about Native Americans.
Looking forward to the next book!

My only regret is that I didn't read
Spirit Seeker (Book One of the Talisa Santiago Series)
first, now I want to go and read it as well :)

Church Signs & Books

I always admire the creativity of the people that come up with the great Church signs. You know the ones I'm talking about , the kind that stand out and will really get your attention.

So I knew when I saw this book The Church Sign by Anne Robey-Graham I just had to read it!  As I also love books and to read ! This one was an Ebook form that I read on my tablet. LOVE LOVE LOVE my tablet and the Ebooks!!!

Has a bit of romance, mystery, and Christianity all rolled into one book. With colorful characters, and several twists and turns it was enough to keep me interested and anxiously waiting to see what the next page would bring. Anne Robey-Graham does an excellent job of sharing the message of prayer and forgiveness.  I would recommend this book for family and friends it!
